There aren't many quarterback-receiver duos as in sync as Denver Broncos' Bo Nix and Troy Franklin. As they gear up for their fifth straight season together, their on-field chemistry has only continued to evolve since their college football days.

"I think it's about being consistent," Franklin told DenverBroncos.com at his youth football camp in the Denver metro area on Tuesday. "Just being consistent and just making sure we're always working."

Nix and Franklin have been working together since their time at Oregon, where they played key roles in the Ducks' 12-2 season in 2023.

After delivering a record-breaking campaign for the program, both players were drafted by the Broncos in 2024 and have carried that familiarity into the NFL ever since.

In their rookie season, Nix and Franklin connected for 263 yards, two regular-season touchdowns, and the Broncos’ lone touchdown in their Wild Card matchup with the Bills. Last season, they tripled these production numbers.

"It's definitely been a process, just getting my reps in, getting comfortable and going out there making my plays," Franklin said of his Year 2 jump. "Obviously, the stuff off the field, [too] — watching my film and taking my practice reps and making them game-like."

Their chemistry played a major role in helping the Broncos win the AFC West title and secure the division's No. 1 seed. Franklin was a reliable target for Nix, recording the second-most receptions on the team.

Franklin hauled in 65 catches, 709 yards, and six touchdowns, with nearly half of his receptions in first downs. Nix said they are looking to replicate that success this season.

But Franklin is aiming even higher. He believes Denver could win the Super Bowl this season.

Troy Franklin puts his trust in Bo Nix

Last season, the Broncos finished the regular season with an impressive 14-3 record. However, their playoff run ended in a loss to the New England Patriots, crushing their Super Bowl hopes.

As Nix returns to the huddle, Franklin is optimistic about the upcoming season, saying the team's minicamp has gone really well, especially with Nix returning to the field.

“That was great for the team, man," Franklin said. "I think it brought everybody up to see Bo back there, taking his drop and throwing some passes. Just getting back out there and taking command of everything. [It was great] just being back on that field with Bo.”

This year, the team is determined to finish the job and bring home a championship. Franklin seems to be channeling his excitement for the upcoming season but honing his skills and establishing himself as a target Nix can rely on once again.

"Just working on my game all around," Franklin said about his Year-3 goals, per DenverBroncos. "Going out there and being more consistent, making plays."
