Six months ago, Bo Nix walked away from the field with an injury right on the cusp of the Championship Game. While the Denver Broncos crashed out, all Nix could do was watch.

Now, according to the latest updates, Nix is back to full strength and ready for the season. According to coach Sean Payton, it's all thanks to the off-season work he put in.

"He's doing well, he's doing really well. He'll clearly be ready in time for training camp. ... It's good to have him out here in uniform."

Two days after winning against the Bills in the Divisional Round, Nix underwent surgery, with another follow-up surgery in April. Following that, it was all about recovery. Even with the minicamps underway, Nix had limited participation.

It's not a surprise, considering Payton, back in May, had already hinted that the team might take the cautious route, even saying earlier that Denver could be the side “holding him back.”

However, along the way, there have been some doubters from the Broncos fanbase. On Dover and Cecil on 104.3 The Fan, Cecil Lammey downplayed the level of worry surrounding the quarterback's recovery and the reaction from outside noise.

“OTAs, not even practice, they’re voluntary. Bo Nix missed four voluntary practices. And yet, people were not only losing their minds, but there are also people now jumping off the Bo Nix bandwagon,” he added.

If there are any doubts still lingering in the minds of fans, Bo Nix also made his injury status quite clear.

Bo Nix has a verdict for his recovery

Nix detailed how he made progress recovering from the injury. Talking to reporters, he said:

"It was hard because I wanted to be full speed so fast, but that's just unfortunately not how postsurgery goes. [I've] been there, had an ankle fracture in college, so knew sort of what the rehab was. Just wanted to go ahead and get [the spurs] out of the way for good. … The doctors told me that the ankle looks good as new. We're right back to normal."

Nix referred to the time he injured his ankle during Auburn’s loss to Mississippi State in 2021. And despite injuring himself during the third quarter, Nix played a few more downs before going off the field in the fourth quarter.

The Broncos have their star QB ready to go, with Nix giving a clear verdict.

"I could go full go right now if they wanted me to."
