NFL veteran believes Broncos' move for Colts star could help Bo Nix find his groove

The Denver Broncos could explore a move for Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor to strengthen their offense. Adding the star running back could give Bo Nix valuable support as the quarterback looks to find his rhythm.

Former NFL offensive tackle and CBS Sports analyst Terron Armstead discussed the possibility on NFL on CBS. The veteran felt Denver's offensive line could make the team an appealing destination for Taylor.

Armstead suggested that his presence could take some pressure off Nix while the quarterback works to find his rhythm. He also believes the addition could help Denver's offense function more effectively:

“Ooh, Jonathan Taylor, that's nice. [..] I would love to see him in Denver behind that offensive line could help alleviate the issues around Bo Nix right now, until he gets his groove. Then the offense can start to operate, but I'd love to see him in Denver.”

The NFL veteran sees Taylor as a potential addition who could help Denver's offense operate more effectively. However, the Broncos would need to pursue a deal for the move to become a reality.

Why Jonathan Taylor could be an ideal fit in Sean Payton's offense

Jonathan Taylor's power and explosiveness could add a new dimension to Sean Payton's offense.

A productive ground game could help Denver stay ahead of the chains and stop defenses from focusing on Bo Nix. Taylor could provide a reliable short-yardage option and sustain longer drives.

Although his presence would not solve every issue, it could make Denver's passing game less predictable and give Nix more room to develop.
