Jonah Coleman’s early impact has caught the attention of two former Denver Broncos players after his impressive Week 2 showing against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Former Broncos wide receivers Dave Logan and Bennie Fowler, co-hosts of Broncos X’s & O’s, discussed the rookie’s performance on their podcast. Logan pointed to Sean Payton’s praise for Coleman’s mature approach:

“Sean has talked about this guy, you know, not playing like a rookie. That goes back to the scouting, the front office, and how they pick these players.”

Fowler then highlighted how Coleman had handled the transition to the NFL. The former Broncos receiver noted that most rookies often need time to adjust to the speed and physicality of professional football, but with the 23-year-old it was different:

“But it was cool to see the Mile High Salute. You know some rookies come into the league, and it takes them a minute, because I mean the game is different. The speed of the game, the size of the athletes, the whole thing's different. But he seems really grounded. He seems like a real confident, sort of composed young guy.”

The rookie’s first NFL touchdown capped a promising Week 2 performance and further justified the praise from the former Broncos stars.

Jonah Coleman stepped up after J.K. Dobbins left with a hamstring injury against Jacksonville.

The rookie carried 10 times for 39 yards and caught three passes for 19 yards. He also scored a three-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, helping Denver secure a 20–13 victory.

Coleman celebrated the score with the Mile High Salute, paying tribute to Broncos legend Terrell Davis.
