The Denver Broncos beat the Seattle Seahawks 17–14 in overtime in Week 6. However, their offensive struggles raised fresh questions about quarterback Bo Nix despite the victory.
Meanwhile, former NFL quarterback and Prime Video analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick criticized Nix during the postgame coverage. He questioned the quarterback’s approach and his willingness to make plays when Denver needed them most.
Fitzpatrick did not hold back in his assessment:
“Bo Nix is not playing competitively. It’s almost disrespectful to the quarterback position how he’s playing football right now.”
The NFL analyst also questioned Nix’s decision to throw the ball away on third-and-eight. Fitzpatrick argued that the quarterback missed opportunities to help his team during crucial moments:
“And then in overtime, he’s got two chances to be competitive. The last one being a designed run for him to run. Make somebody miss and get a first down for your football team.”
Fitzpatrick acknowledged that an injury could explain Nix’s struggles but remained unconvinced by his performances this season.
Broncos survive Seahawks comeback to secure overtime victory in Week 6
Denver built a 14–3 halftime lead through rushing touchdowns from J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey. However, the offense stalled after the break, allowing Seattle to rally.
The Seahawks cut the deficit with a fourth-quarter touchdown and a two-point conversion before tying the game with a late field goal. In overtime, Broncos cornerback Ja’Quan McMillian intercepted Seattle’s quarterback. Wil Lutz then converted a 53-yard field goal to seal the victory for Sean Payton's team.
The Broncos improved to 4–2 despite managing just 168 total yards. Nix completed 17 of 27 passes for 107 yards without a touchdown.
