Hall of Fame QB Warren Moon recently praised Denver Broncos signal-caller Bo Nix, while throwing major shade at Pittsburgh Steelers veteran Aaron Rodgers.

Moon heavily commended Nix's leadership style and presence at team OTAs. He explicitly claimed that the young quarterback is already building a culture of accountability in Denver.

“The fact that he’s [Nix] there (at OTAs), that’s huge,” Moon told Sean Keeler of The Denver Post. “It’s not an Aaron Rodgers deal where you don’t know if he’s going to show up or not, where the team is wondering, ‘Is he going to be our leader?’ They know, ‘Hey, our QB1 is here.’"

Aaron Rodgers signed his one-year deal with Pittsburgh right as OTAs started, following weeks of speculation. Last season, he skipped voluntary workouts entirely. This clearly ruined his timing with the WRs and offensive line when the league started.

Look at Nix instead. Moon pointed out that showing up to Broncos workouts while recovering from an injury proves a massive commitment. Even though he can't fully practice, just being around his teammates builds a lot of trust.

"(The Broncos) seeing that he’s doing what he can on the field, that confidence bleeds over to the rest of the football team, too," Moon added.

Nix earned this respect by putting up big numbers during his first two seasons. In his first two years as a pro, he threw for 7,706 yards and 54 TDs, adding 786 yards and nine TDs on the ground.

Bo Nix reminds the former Houston Oilers QB of the Denver Broncos legend, John Elway. While Nix is only in his 3rd season, the way he moves and his ability to bring the team back into the game are similar to Elway's.

This brings us to the warning that Warren Moon gave to the Denver Broncos about Bo Nix.

Nix fractured his right ankle during an overtime sweep in Denver's 33-30 playoff victory against Buffalo. He recently underwent a scheduled clean-up procedure with Dr. Norman Waldrop III to clear scar tissue.

Fortunately, team doctors fully expect him to be ready for training camp in July.

“The quick movements that you have to make in the pocket, you just aren’t able to make as quickly,” Moon said. “I tried to practice with it as much as I could. They tried to give it time to heal…I probably should have given it a lot more time.”

The nine-time Pro Bowler emphasized that Nix relies heavily on his pocket athleticism to make plays. And if the star plays when his ankle isn't completely healed, it will hamper his mobility.
