The Denver Broncos fell to 2-2 after a 24-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4. Their offense struggled to find rhythm once again, putting more pressure on first-year play-caller Davis Webb.
Broncos quarterback Bo Nix faced questions about the offense after the defeat. Rather than place the blame on Webb, Nix said the players needed to make the play-caller's job easier.
Troy Renck of The Denver Post shared Nix’s comments on X/Twitter after the quarterback addressed the media. He explained how the Broncos could make things easier for Webb:
“I think it's just overall something that we gotta continue to help him and execute. You know, his players gotta put him in a better spot. [...] We're just not making it easy on him by any means right now. We've just gotta help him.”
Nix’s comments put the responsibility on the Broncos’ players to improve execution. Denver will need that support if the offense is going to find greater consistency.
Broncos quarterback offers reassuring update on his ankle
Bo Nix also addressed questions about his ankle following the loss to San Francisco.
He was asked whether swelling from flying had become an issue or was inhibiting him in any way. Nix indicated that his ankle was not affecting him. The brief response offered reassurance after the Broncos’ latest setback.
The update suggests Denver’s quarterback does not view the ankle as a concern moving forward. His focus remains on helping the offense improve.
