Ever since Denver pulled off its blockbuster trade for the former Miami Dolphins star Jaylen Waddle, excitement has been building around what the wide receiver can bring to Sean Payton's attack. The Broncos feel Waddle is the last piece that they needed.

Denver's offensive veteran, left tackle Garrett Bolles, believes the Broncos' offense has become more dangerous and expects defense to have a difficult time preparing for the team's growing weapon.

"And those two (Jaylen Waddle and Courtland Sutton) are just freaks of nature's man," said Garrett Bolles on the NFL Network. "It's going to be really hard for defense to try to scheme us up when you have two electrifying receivers like that."

Bolles highlighted the respect that Waddle has earned inside the locker room. Defenses already have to consider Courtland Sutton's size and ability to win catches. Waddle's speed and running ability create a completely different challenge.

Opponents can no longer focus their attention on a single playmaker without exposing themselves elsewhere. Even HC Sean Payton praised the receiver's instincts and ability to adapt to the offense quickly. The coach has a plan, and it involves using him both in the slot and on the outside.

Waddle holds the NFL record for most receptions by a rookie, catching 104 passes during his 2021 season with the Dolphins. He also became the first player in the Dolphins' franchise history to post three consecutives 1,000 yard receiving seasons (2021-2023).

Waddle has also embraced the new changes as he is focused on contributing wherever needed. His team-first mentality has resonated with teammates and coaches alike.

With the reception and the expectations he has come with, Waddle spoke up about his new team.

Waddle Reveals How Broncos Receivers Made Him Feel

Adjusting to the new team is hard and takes some time. However,  the star receiver’s initial period in Denver has been easier than expected, thanks to the welcoming atmosphere inside the wide receivers' room, as per Broncos Wire.

“It’s a great group, honestly, and I’m not even talking about — everyone knows they can play and do these amazing things on the field. I’m just talking about them as people," Waddle said last week via Broncos Wire. "I came in as the new guy, and they welcomed me with open arms and have treated me like a brother since Day 1."

Waddle's comments reflect that the WR room is strongly bonded ahead of the season. With Sutton leading the room, the Broncos believe Waddles' addition can elevate the offense as they prepare for a Super Bowl push in 2026.
