The Broncos QB Bo Nix led the league with a 14-3 record in the 2025 season. In his second year with the team, he had made a historic jump by leading the team in their first playoff win after a decade. And his record became the most wins ever by a quarterback in their first two seasons in NFL history.

And so, his athleticism and skills didn't go unnoticed, as several praises came along. One among them is the former Super Bowl champion, Drew Bledsoe.

Last week, Bledsoe shared his thoughts on Nix, admiring him, he said, "I'm a big Bo Nix fan," on the NFL Network's Good Morning Football episode. He also humorously mentioned how it's "hard for me to cheer for an Oregon Duck," indicating their college rivalry with the Washington State Cougars.

Bledsoe also praised the Broncos' head coach, Sean Payton, for aiding in the rapid development of the rookie, citing the importance that a good play-caller could make things much easier for the young quarterback.

Bledsoe Highlights Payton’s Influence

Bledsoe said, "Look, as a quarterback, your play caller can be your best friend, and if you got a great one, man, it makes life easy." The former Patriot worked with his 'favorite play-caller,' Payton, during his time in Dallas, when Payton was the quarterback coach.

Last season, the 26-year-old completed 388 of 612 passes for a career-high 3,931 yards and 25 touchdowns. However, his solid season ended with an ankle injury, and he was put on IR by late January. Then, backup QB Jarrett Stidham took over, and their playoff run concluded with a postseason loss.

Now, with the most recent addition of WR Jaylen Waddle on the team, after a trade with the Dolphins and getting a fourth-round pick, in exchange for first, third, and fourth picks, the Broncos are coming in solid. Now that Nix is also recovering fast and should be able to join Denver's offseason program, as per GM George Paton.

So, overall, Bledsoe was impressed with the early success of Nix, along with the coaching that he is getting from Payton, all of which happened at the same time that the Broncos were reporting on Nix's recovery.
