Denver’s offensive struggles have put both Bo Nix and Davis Webb under scrutiny. Webb has now offered an encouraging assessment of the quarterback’s response to the recent criticism.

Speaking to reporters after practice, the Broncos offensive coordinator praised how Nix had handled questions about the offense. He highlighted the quarterback’s willingness to accept responsibility and support his teammates:

“I think he's in a good spot. I think yesterday he handled the media really good you know? He took a little bit of accountability, hyped up his teammates, and I think he's ready to go on a little run.”

Nix must now translate that support into better performances as Denver seeks greater offensive consistency. Webb’s confidence gives the quarterback encouragement, but the Broncos need results on the field.

Bo Nix will look to follow a promising trend after recent criticism

Davis Webb also pointed to Jacksonville Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence as an example of a quarterback who responded well after a difficult stretch.

Lawrence finished the 2025 campaign strongly after a slow start, and that form has carried into this season. Webb made the comparison while expressing hope that Nix could follow a similar path.

“I think Trever Lawrence did something similar last year, and he had a great end to his campaign last year, and it's kicking into this year. He's doing a great job, and hopefully Bo can follow that trend.”

Nix now has an opportunity to build momentum and ease the scrutiny surrounding his performances. If he can produce a stronger run, the Broncos could see their offense regain its rhythm.
