The Denver Broncos are back on the field this week as their offseason program officially begins. It is an exciting time in the Mile High City, especially for the team’s latest group of undrafted free agents (UDFAs).

Among the 14 players fighting for a spot is safety Parker Robertson. According to an interview conducted by a reputed reporter, Javier Ascoli, he reported what Robertson said about his joining the team.

“I was very excited! From previous conversations that I had with some of their coaches, I felt like I would fit in with how they run their defense and special teams," Parker revealed about what went through his mind when the Broncos reached out.

Choosing Denver wasn't a hard decision for Robertson. Even though other teams reached out to him after the draft, he felt a special connection with the Broncos' coaching staff.

Additionally, he noted he didn’t have much difficulty in signing the contract because of his early conversations with the coaches, who made him feel at home.

"It was very smooth, and the coaches were very easy to work with. I had some other teams reach out to me, but as I said, I knew that I wanted to go to the Broncos because of how they run their defense and special teams. I feel like they are a great fit for me," Ascoli wrote.

Now that he’s arrived, Robertson isn't looking for headlines. As an undrafted free agent, he knows the road to the final roster is steep, but it’s a challenge he’s handled before. His mindset for his rookie year is simple and grounded.

“My expectations for myself are to be a sponge and absorb all the information that they are giving me. Just work hard!" Robertson spoke of his expectations from the minicamp.

The Denver Broncos are about to get their first real look at the next wave. Rookie minicamp runs May 8–10, with arrivals set for May 7, three days to impress, no guarantees.

From there, it is straight into OTAs on June 2–4 and June 9–11, before the mandatory minicamp closes the stretch from June 16–18, a packed runway where early impressions can quickly turn into real opportunities.

The former Oklahoma State star will be hoping to become the next great undrafted success story in Denver.

Everything To Know About Parker Robertson

Parker Robertson’s journey at Oklahoma State started as a walk-on. He spent his early years grinding on special teams before earning a scholarship and becoming a defensive mainstay.

By the end of his five-season career (2021–2025), Robertson had transformed into a two-time team captain and a defensive anchor, appearing in 51 games and totaling 148 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 1.5 sacks.

His production reached its peak during his 2025 senior campaign, where he recorded a career-high 77 tackles. Robertson’s value was defined by his tackling and a high football IQ that allowed him to play multiple positions in the secondary.

Now, after being signed, when asked, Parker said what makes him unique? He addressed his traits.

"I have a high football IQ, so I see the game at a slower pace. I can also play multiple positions," Robertson said.

As he joins the Broncos, his initial NFL role is expected to focus on special teams.
