Broncos 4th-Round Pick Sends Strong Message For Bo Nix

The Denver Broncos selected running back Jonah Coleman at No.108 with their fourth-round pick on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft, after which he sent a clear message to the team’s quarterback, Bo Nix.
According to The Denver Post, Jonah Coleman, who is the third Husky to be selected in this year’s draft, is ready to back up Bo Nix on the field.
“Now I get to go protect Bo Nix, and I take pride in that,” Coleman said on a conference call Saturday afternoon, “And I may not have, like, all the exciting plays, all that. But I do the dirty work.”
“I do the things that not a lot of people pay attention to.”
When Coleman transferred to the University of Washington in 2024, he posted his breakout year, recording 1,053 rushing yards, 10 rushing TDs, and 193 carries. In 2025, he suffered a significant knee injury against Wisconsin, which limited his availability for the final five games of the season.

However, he proved himself enough to be drafted by the Broncos in order to aid Bo Nix, who also sustained a right ankle fracture in the 2026 divisional playoff game against the Buffalo Bills. He finished the game with a 33–30 overtime win.
Recently, Broncos legend Peyton Manning shared a promising update on Nix’s injury as published on The Denver Gazette, stating that he “looked good” when he last met him at the Masters. Still, he could use all the help he can get, and RB Coleman could provide that.
In addition to that, Coleman also believed he was destined to be with the Denver Broncos.
Jonah Coleman Was “Meant To Be” In The Denver Broncos
After being drafted by the Broncos, Coleman had every right to show his excitement, given that he knew in his heart he was a Denver Bronco.
As per Luca Evans from The Denver Post, Coleman believed in his heart that he was supposed to be in the Broncos, saying:
“I always knew I was meant to be a Denver Bronco. Like right after the visit, I knew I was going to be a Denver Bronco. It was all in God’s plan, and it worked out how it was supposed to.”
He further stated that he felt the Denver Broncos were the perfect place for him.
“It’s not about when you go, or how you go, or how low you go, it’s about going to the right place,” Coleman said.
“Ultimately, in my heart, I felt like being a Bronco was the perfect place and the perfect situation for me. Like I said, I’m excited to get this thing rolling, and be the player that they drafted and ultimately come in and add value.”
Hopefully, everything goes according to plan for the Denver Broncos and their newest addition, Jonah Coleman.
