The Denver Broncos came agonizingly close to the Super Bowl last season. However, their run ended at the AFC Championship Game, leaving Sean Payton and his team wanting more.

This year, things could be different. Bo Nix is back from injury, while Denver also added Jaylen Waddle to an already talented roster.

According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, the Broncos now have the deepest roster in the NFL. More importantly, he believes their depth makes them better equipped than anyone to handle the grind of an entire season.

"All the way around, this is a sturdy group that Sean Payton and George Paton have put together, and it should be more prepared than anyone to deal with the natural attrition that an NFL season brings."

That could prove crucial when injuries inevitably begin piling up. Denver has the talent to withstand those setbacks and remain competitive throughout the campaign.

If Payton and the Broncos play their cards right, they could end the season in Los Angeles. And this time, they could be competing for the Super Bowl.

Sean Payton and the Broncos are still adding to their roster

Despite already having the NFL's deepest roster, Denver isn't finished adding pieces. Payton recently gave veteran safety Taylor Rapp another opportunity after bringing him back for a tryout.

Rapp originally signed with the Broncos during the summer. However, he stepped away to spend time with his family before eventually returning to Denver.

Payton always believed Rapp would come back. Now, that belief has been rewarded, with Rapp officially joining the Broncos' practice squad.

It's another solid addition for Denver. Rapp brings valuable experience and gives Payton another dependable option in the secondary.
